Remember to stay hydrated and eat something on your wedding day.
I know this seems like a no brainer. Of course, you are going to eat and drink something. Well, I am here to tell you it is not so simple. It can get quite hectic on your wedding day, so understandably staying hydrated and eating something suddenly is forgotten or overlooked. Before your wedding day delegate the task of reminding you to eat, to one of your bridesmaids (be sure she doesn’t have too much on her plate the day of) that way if it slips your mind she can give you a friendly reminder. Try to eat a healthy and hearty meal. Something that will last you through out the day, because it may be a while until you eat again. If you don’t have an appetite I would suggest nibbling on some almonds, crackers, or a protein bar and water is a must.
When you arrive at your reception you will be confronted with family wanting to congratulate you, leaving little or not time to eat. The well wishes will bleed into the dinner, so it’s best to be prepared for that. I would suggest when you arrive to your reception venue sneak away for 15 or 20 minutes to have a small meal alone. Ask your coordinator/caterer/venue’s director if they can have two plates waiting for you in private room, this way you’ll have an opportunity to have an uninterrupted meal and some alone time together to take it all in.
