A Sweet Japanese Inspired Palette

Lately I have been in organization mode. This has been going on for a few months now and it is still going. I just can’t seem to find an end to it,  when I think I’m done I find something else to organize.  Right now I am sorting through my clipart collection.  Man ‘o man I have accumulated an enormous collection.  I have over 50 clipart books! Each and every one of those books has come in handy. I have created so many projects and products with these fantastic books: invitations, ads, cover art, wall art, wedding DVD covers etc. And I’m adding yet another use to the list: color palette!

I was flipping through my VINTAGE JAPANESE SILK TRADE LABELS book and was struck by all the amazing colors in these beautiful labels.  The first thing I thought was ‘OMG these labels would make gorgeous wall art’ and I have a few walls screaming for some pizzaz. Then it dawned on me they would be perfect for color palette inspiration. As I have said before inspiration can come from ANYWHERE! And so it has.

Choosing just one to showcase turned out to be a very difficult decision, so I have decided throughout the weeks to share the others I have found to be wonderful color palette inspiration. Today I’m sharing the one that I felt was the cheeriest, just the kind of palette that screams spring/summer wedding. It has no shortage of pretty flowers, and not to mention, light and breezy colors, all of which make perfect cheery inspiration.

Tell me what you think about this Sweet Japanese Inspired Palette.
