Monthly Happy Goals for November

monthly happy goals for septemberNovember marks the beginning of the holiday season and the approach of, yet another one of our favorite months, December. What exactly does the holiday season mean? All kinds of fun, of course. It is the beginning of holiday decorating, baking, holiday shopping, special events, soirees, and so much more. This months Monthly Happy Goals for November will help celebrate the holidays to come in November and December.

MONTHLY HAPPY GOALS FOR NOVEMBER
1. Bake something new! I am crazy in love with all the donuts I’ve been seeing on Pinterest. These yummy treats come in so many shapes (hearts, cats, and mini), colors, and flavors. And don’t get me started on all the sprinkles, candies, and the other amazingly wonderful embellishments they are dressed in. I really want to try this new trend in mini form.

2. Every day in November, write down what I am thankful for in celebration of Thanksgiving. This year I have been making a conscious choice to take the time to reflect upon and, most importantly, show gratitude for all the blessings in my life. Sometimes we loose sight of what we are blessed with, because we are far too focused on the negative, or rather all those things we DON’T have. We forget to be grateful and thankful for what we have in life, the experiences we have been witness to, and the relationships we are fortunate to have in our lives. Those positive and beautiful things are what we should focus on instead of wallowing in the negative.

3. Bake my special banana bread and gift it to family and friends. I have a few family members and friends that have made requests for it, but I haven’t had the chance to fulfill those orders.

4. Attend as many holiday events in the Rio Grande Valley. The Valley has so much to offer and this year I want to see as much as I can. It’s a great thing to support the community whenever possible. So much time and energy goes into these splendid events. We should take advantage of these occasions and have a great time!

5. Get outdoors and enjoy our backyard. The weather is finally cooling off, as much as it can in deep South Texas. This breezy weather doesn’t last very long, it’s gone in a blink of an eye. Therefore, I have to make sure to thoroughly enjoy it and savor it while it lasts.
