I have to say this is a very good tip. So many times couples will tell me they never had an opportunity to see their reception venue in all its glory and the only evidence of their venue lies in the couple’s wedding photos and film. While it is wonderful to have photos and film documenting everything, it is far more meaningful to experience it for your self. I suggest to sneak into your venue a few minutes before they open the doors for your guests and take a peak. You will be happy you did.

My hubby and I had the opportunity to do so and I will say I am so happy we did. It was such an incredible experience to see the beautifully set tables and the gorgeous centerpieces in a pristine state (no purses, bottles of water, or phones to disturb the beauty of it all). We were able to walk through the venue and see our lovely cocktail area, ice sculpture, and cake (I had a bit of a moment when I saw the cake and it involved a few tears) undisturbed. It also gave us an opportunity to have a moment of alone time. It was a very sweet and cherished moment I hold dearly in my heart.
