All That Love

Let’s end the week with a bang!

A couple of weeks ago I shared this sweet couple’s first dance and I have to say it was a doozy. It made my heart flutter, for sure! And I will admit made me a bit teary eyed, as well. The first dance was just a small glimpse of how extraordinary their special day was and now I have more to share!

I am ecstatic to share with you their wedding highlight film created by none other than John Arriola Films. They did such a beautiful job capturing the essence of this couple’s magnificent day. Enjoy!

The following was included in the original post on John Arriola Films:

The Flowers-Propst wedding will definitely go down in the books as one of the most spectacular weddings we have ever had the opportunity to film. It featured glitz & glamour, old-hollywood charm, and Gatsbyesque details creating a one-of-a-kind event. We are honored to have had the privilege of documenting this beautiful occasion.

From beginning to end the wedding was flawless. The ceremony alone was like a scene in a movie. It was a beautiful night, perfect weather and just the right atmosphere for a dreamy storybook wedding.

On Saturday, January 14th, Summer Flowers Propst walked down a candle lit aisle accompanied by her loving father. It was a magical scene. There was such love surrounding this beautiful couple, as they said their “I do’s” in front of a magnificent towering tree dripping in twinkle lights. If I had to describe the scene in one word it would have to be ROMANTIC.

After the sweet “I do’s”, guests were whisked away to an elegant cocktail hour where they were treated to delicious hors d’oeuvres and tasty libations. It was at this time the couple shared their first special moments alone as husband and wife. These moments were proudly captured and preserved by both Anahi Navarro and myself.

Then we were off to the races. It was now time for the party portion of the wedding. There was wonderful music, dancing, fireworks, over-the-top decor, scrumptious entrees, delectable desserts and loads of fun. It was truly an unforgettable bash!

Make it a margarita!

CocktailFriday It’s Cocktail Friday y’all!

Oh my goodness, what…a…week! It was a week filled with all kinds of work things (errand, meetings, company meetings, projects etc.), and of course, the usual day to day things. (Pretty much a typical week at Casa Arriola.) After this week I am ready to relax and enjoy a nice refreshing cocktail!

Yay!!! It’s the weekend! Oh wait, what am I saying, my work week has not ended just yet. Before I do my happy dance and jump for joy I can’t forget Saturday is wedding day for many wonderful couples. That means a day filled with special events for both Le Vintage Photo Booth and John Arriola Films. This will probably be one of our most hectic weeks yet, as we have two photo booths scheduled, and my husband has been hired to capture a couple’s special moments. It is sure to be one crazy Saturday, for sure! Thankfully, my husband and I have been doing this for many years, and are seasoned veterans when it comes to weekends like these. We know how to keep our cool, weather any storms and get the job done!

With that said, I can’t wait for Sunday! As much as we love our job we cherish our days off. It’s at this time we are able to get some much needed R&R and good quality us-time, as well as, getting reenergized for the coming week ahead. This Sundays Agenda: enjoy a tasty margarita, maybe a Passionfruit Margarita, in our beautiful backyard as I do absolutely nothing!

Here are the ingredients to a tasty PASSIONFRUIT MARGARITA incase you’d like to make your weekend a little yummier!

PASSIONFRUIT MARGARITA
1 1/2 oz. tequila
1/2 oz. triple sec
1 oz. lemon juice
1 1/2 oz. passionfruit puree

Blend ingredients with ice.  Serve in a salt-crusted martini glass.

A Dreamy First Dance

A couple’s first dance is one of the most magical moments to watch, and I have had the pleasure of witnessing many in my career. After all these years it never fails to make my heart aflutter, as the first note plays my heart skips a beat.  I don’t imagine that feeling will ever fade. As a spectator you are witnessing what will be one of the most unforgettable moments of a couples wedding day (aside from their I do’s). It’s their first special moments as husband and wife.

This dreamy first dance film is no exception. As soon as Billie Holiday’s “I’ll be seeing you” began to play my heart was aflutter. John Arriola Films did a marvelous job capturing such a beautiful moment!

The following was included in the original post by John Arriola Films:

In all my years of filming weddings I have found the first dance is one of my favorite moments to film. I’m not quite sure why. It may be the significance it holds for a newly married couple, or the fact that at that very moment a room is filled with such love emanating from both the couple and their onlookers-family and friends. Whatever may be the reason I truly love to film and edit such a momentous occasion. I have to say in all my years I have never enjoyed filming and editing a first dance as I did Summer and Chris’s. It was one I will never forget! There was old hollywood glamour, Billie Holiday’s “I’ll be seeing you” playing, fireworks, and most importantly a couple head-over-heels in love. All of these element created a magnificent first dance. Congratulations to the beautiful couple and may they have an incredible life together filled with tremendous love, never ending laughter, and overwhelming happiness. Congratulations to Summer and Chris!!!

I’m back!

MonthlyHappyGoals

I am back and ready to twinkle!

It has been over two months since my last post, and while I wish I could say those months have been spent resting it is quite the contrary. I had expected to have about a months time to take it easy and get in some R & R in the hopes of getting energized, however, that was not the case. I had all of about one week of rest when life got in the way, or rather bulldozed its way into my vacation time. There were meetings, last minute weddings and events, prepping for events, hours spent discussing the New Year and what that meant for our businesses, creating ads, and the list goes on and on. That in turn led me to move my blog return further and further hoping to get that needed rest in, but to no avail. So I have given in to the fact that there is no rest in sight. Really I’m not phased, because I really love what I’m doing and wouldn’t have it any other way.

Now let’s discuss the blog! We are well into a New Year and there are a few new things/changes to come for Lovely & Amazing Weddings. I had hoped to complete those changes by the time I came back, but sadly that did not happen. We are working diligently to have them completed very soon!

New things to look forward to are a much needed facelift for the site- Lovely & Amazing Weddings is getting a whole new look! The format will change a bit to include other categories, the name will see some tweaks, and plenty of new series to look forward to in the New Year. I don’t want to give too much away, but we are working hard on the site and everything will be unveiled soon enough. Here is just a taste of what’s to come.

One of the new series I plan to include in my blog is #MonthlyHappyGoals. This will be a monthly post that will include 5 goals, Happy Goals, I’d like to accomplish for the month. It’s not always easy being happy and it sometimes takes a little work, but it is always worth the effort. This series will be all about FUN things or ways to stay happy throughout the month.

MARCH HAPPY GOALS

1. Get my green on by wearing tons of green.
2. Take advantage of the nice weather and have a picnic or two or three.
3. CelebrateNational Potato Chips Day (March 14th) the only way one can- with a sea of chips in several varieties.
4. Plant something. Whether it be a flower, plant, or tree.
5. Celebrate National Chip & Dip Day (March 23) with a party!

What are your #MonthlyHappyGoals? Let me know how you stay happy in the comments section! Can’t wait to hear from y’all!
